The NCORP funding opportunity announcements solicit applications from institutions and organizations to participate in the program. More information on announcements RFA-CA-18-015 (Research Bases, UG1 Clinical Trial Required), RFA-CA-18-016 (Community Sites, UG1 Clinical Trial Required), and RFA-CA-18-017 (Minority/Underserved Community Sites, UG1 Clinical Trial Required), is available on the NCORP Applicant's webpage.
NCORP, a community-based research network, designs and conducts clinical trials and other human subject studies for adults and children, in cancer prevention, control, screening, and care delivery, and quality-of-life studies embedded within treatment trials.
NCORP also incorporates into studies the unique research needs of diverse populations, such as adolescents and young adults (AYAs), the elderly, racial and ethnic minorities, sexual and gender minorities, and rural residents, and takes steps to enhance participation of these groups. The program also enhances patient and provider access to treatment and imaging trials conducted under the National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN), and integrates cancer disparities research within the community network.
