The cancer studies below were approved recently and are open to enroll participants through the NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). NCORP is a national network that brings cancer clinical trials and cancer care delivery studies to people in their local communities.

Implementing Virtual Tobacco Treatment in Community Oncology Practices (Smoke Free 2.0) (EAQ171CD) was activated on April 11, 2019. Lead Research Base: ECOG-ACRIN. Summary: phase II trial studies how well smoking cessation treatment plans work in tobacco-dependent cancer patients when delivered virtually as part of their cancer care in community oncology practices.
Improving Surgical Care and Outcomes in Older Cancer Patients Through Implementation of an Efficient Pre-Surgical Toolkit (OPTI-Surg) (A231601CD) was activated on April 1, 2019. Lead Research Base: Alliance. Summary: studies how well the use of a pre-surgical toolkit (OPTI-Surg) works in improving surgical care and outcomes in older participants with cancer.
Increasing the Dose of Survivorship Care Planning in Improving Care and Outcomes in Prostate Cancer Survivors Receiving Androgen Deprivation Therapy (NRG-CC007CD) was activated on March 27, 2019. Lead Research Base: NRG Oncology. Summary: studies how well increasing the dose of survivorship care planning improves care and outcomes in prostate cancer survivors receiving radiation therapy and androgen deprivation therapy.
Assessing Financial Difficulty in Patients with Blood Cancers (A231602CD) was activated on March 15, 2019. Lead Research Base: Alliance. Summary: studies financial difficulty in participants with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and multiple myeloma to better understand the financial impact of cancer.
Increasing Socioeconomically Disadvantaged Patients' Engagement in Breast Cancer Surgery Decision Making Through a Shared Decision-Making Intervention (A231701CD) was activated on March 11, 2019. Lead Research Base: Alliance. Summary: studies how well a breast cancer surgery decision aid works in increasing patient engagement in decision making for patients with newly diagnosed stage 0-III breast cancer and examines barriers to patient engagement.
